Contents Page

This is my contents page for my music magazine "The Movement". I have kept it quite plain and simple but on the otherhand the main story still sticks out. When looking through VIBE and xxl's magazines content's I have tried to keep it different, as VIBE normally has a lot of pictures in the content's page. I have only one dominant image as I want the audience to go straight to the main story. I have also put a big red circle in with concert dates so it jumps out at the reader.

Evaluation (What kind of media Instituition might distribute your magazine and why?)

Magazine instituitions normally buy magazines in the genre that they already have. As there isn't a lot of UK hip-hop/grime magazines around publishing companies would like to have it soso it can be a niche market.

The publishing house I think would buy my magazine is the same as VIBE. I think they would buy it because they wouldn't want the compertition from another magazine. Also thier target audience is alredy 15-25 so my magazine would be perfect for them to buy. I would put my views forward and approach them with the idea of them buying my magazine for the reason they already have a magazine that aims at the same target age as mine.

Double Page Spread

This is my content's page for my magazine. I have a big in your face title so the reader knows who the article is about. I have also put 2 pictures of MDR on this content's page, one of him which I asked him to pose like he was thinking of the future and another of him looking down at the floor. The picture with singing with the enemy written over it I chose becausehe is dressed in all black becasue dark colours are norally associated with the enemy.

Final Front Cover

My final front cover is of MDR a up and coming MC that my sister knows and allowed me to take and put onto my front cover. This front cover I feel was better than my first as I could get him to pose as I wanted him to. I did the title in yellow as i thought it would make his blue hat and blue and white jumper stand out. Also I went for the in your face effect, this would jump out to the audience which would make them buy it.

To make this front cover I used a programme called Photoshop Elements 7. I have learnt a lot since my pre lim task on how to use Photoshop and I hope you can see the difference in quality.
